Jin10 Data reported on July 30th that as an important source of demand for Russian crude oil, Indian refiners are seeking clarification from the New Delhi government on whether their purchases will be affected by Trump's latest social media posts. On Wednesday, U.S. President Trump stated that he would impose a 25% tariff on goods exported from India to the United States starting August 1, and warned that there could be additional penalties due to India’s continued purchase of energy from Russia.
