ETH2.0 stake progress has reached 96%, the Genesis Block is about to launch.
The latest data shows that the amount of Ether in the Ethereum 2.0 staking contract continues to rise, reaching 498,048 coins so far. This number is less than 4% short of the minimum requirement of 524,288 ETH needed to launch the Ethereum 2.0 Genesis Block. The staking progress is 96% complete, getting closer to the target.
At the same time, according to the code files in the official development repository of Ethereum 2.0, the official release date of Ethereum 2.0 is set for December 1, 2020. This means that the Ethereum network is about to undergo a major upgrade, transitioning to the stake ( PoS ) mechanism.
