Golden Ten Data reported on May 16 that the U.S. dollar index fell on the 15th. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, fell 0.16% on the day to settle at 100.878 at the end of the session. At the end of trading in New York, the euro was worth $1.1178, unchanged from the previous session, and the pound was worth $1.3299, up from $1.3264 in the previous session. The U.S. dollar was worth 145.68 yen, down from 146.72 yen in the previous session, the U.S. dollar was worth 0.8362 Swiss francs, down from 0.8426 Swiss francs in the previous session, the U.S. dollar was worth 1.3966 Canadian dollars, down from 1.3976 Canadian dollars in the previous session, and the U.S. dollar was worth 9.7397 Swedish kronor, down from 9.7572 Swedish kronor in the previous session.
