Santander Bank plans to launch a stablecoin and expand its Crypto Assets services.

Gate News bot message, according to Bloomberg, Banco Santander SA in Spain is developing a digital asset business expansion plan. The plan includes two main directions: first, launching a stablecoin, and second, providing Crypto Assets services to retail customers through its Digital Bank Openbank.

Informed sources reveal that the stablecoin project is still in its preliminary stages. At the same time, Openbank has applied for a retail encryption service license in accordance with the latest EU regulatory framework.
