U.S. Energy Secretary: Not surprised by the fall in oil prices.

Jin10 data reported on June 24, when asked about the oil market's reaction to the Iranian attacks, U.S. Energy Secretary Granholm stated: "People realize that the situation in the Middle East will eventually calm down, and we will be in a safer, more stable Middle East and world overall." Granholm said she is not surprised by the drop in oil prices: "I do not think the current tensions will lead to a rise in oil prices. We saw a little bit of that earlier, but when the U.S. position became clear, I wasn't surprised at all by the drop in oil prices. The extent of the decline may be larger than I expected, but I think we are in good shape today."
