Japan plans to send Akizawa to visit the U.S. again for the eighth round of tariff negotiations next week.

On July 4, Jin10 Data reported that the Japanese government plans to send Minister of Economic Revitalization Akizawa Ryozo to visit the United States again, to hold the eighth round of tariff negotiations in the first half of next week. The Japanese side may have already consulted the U.S. government's intentions on this matter. Before the deadline of the 9th for the suspension of the additional tariffs set by the U.S. side, Japan will make every effort to reach an agreement, but it is difficult to make significant concessions due to the upcoming House of Councillors elections. Following the UK, Vietnam has also reached a trade agreement with the United States, and the Shobun government is anxious about the current situation where negotiations have stalled.
