On July 24, Jin10 reported that the Israeli parliament passed a non-binding resolution calling for the annexation of all Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which is a rejection of international efforts to promote the establishment of a Palestinian state to maintain peace. The motion was passed on Wednesday with 71 votes in favor and 13 against, urging Prime Minister Netanyahu's government to apply Israeli law to these settlements, which are considered illegal by most world powers. Approximately 500,000 Israelis have settled in the West Bank, home to 3 million Palestinians, which is a source of potential tension and frequent outbreaks of deadly violence. Netanyahu voted in favor of the resolution but did not specify whether it would be implemented.
