Hurun: More than a quarter of gazelle companies have applied AI technology in fields such as fintech, blockchain, and SaaS.

ShenChao TechFlow news, on January 8th, according to Shanghai Securities News, the Hurun Research Institute released the '2024 Hurun Global Unicorn List', showing that the number of global unicorn companies rose by 17% to 803, distributed in 38 countries. Among them, the number of Chinese companies increased from 70 in 2019 to 258, with 77 biotechnology companies and 29 AI companies among the 302 new companies.

Data shows that over 25% of unicorn companies have applied AI technology in fields such as fintech, blockchain, and SaaS, with an average valuation of $700 million. Hurun stated that the integration of generative AI, machine learning, AR/VR, cloud computing, and other technologies has brought unprecedented development opportunities for innovative companies.

Note: The gazelle enterprise refers to young companies that grow rapidly like the African gazelle, usually established after 2000, with an expected valuation of $1 billion within 3 years, and possessing continuous innovation capability and rapid rise potential for unlisted companies.
