Binance CEO Richard Teng unexpectedly came to Vietnam
On the morning of July 15, Binance CEO Richard Teng was present in Ho Chi Minh City to attend the event on the legal framework for cryptocurrency at the headquarters of Lao Dong Newspaper. Mr. Teng is the next senior leader of Binance to visit Vietnam, following CZ's visit in 2022.
The visit comes after Mr. Teng just attended a seminar on digital assets in Taiwan. He is currently leading Binance – the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange – after taking over the CEO position from Changpeng Zhao in November 2023.
With over 30 years of financial and legal experience, Richard Teng has held various leadership positions at ADGM, SGX, and the Monetary Authority of Singapore. He was recognized by CoinDesk as one of the most influential people in 2024.
Mr. Teng's visit takes place against the backdrop of the domestic crypto market increasingly attracting the attention of policymakers and international businesses.
