Polkadot ecosystem chain peaq helps TSL and Jaguar achieve vehicle autonomous payment
Recently, Polkadot announced that TSL and Jaguar will showcase vehicles with autonomous payment features using peaq technology at the IAA MOBILITY 2023 auto show. As a parachain of Polkadot, peaq is committed to connecting the digital world with the real world, enabling users to jointly own assets that generate income based on services and goods in the real world.
This technological demonstration marks a further development of the Internet of Things economy ( Economy of Things ). With the support of peaq's technology, vehicles will be able to autonomously complete the payment of charging and parking fees, showcasing the potential of blockchain technology in real-world applications.
Introduction to Polkadot Architecture
Polkadot is a cross-chain protocol designed to connect and secure different blockchains. It consists of three types of blockchains:
peaq's "on-chain TSL" project
The Vienna-based car-sharing service company ELOOP has partnered with peaq to tokenize 100 Tesla vehicles. Each car has been assigned a peaq ID, becoming part of the decentralized physical infrastructure (DePin).
These vehicles are "fragmented", allowing multiple shareholders to jointly own them. Investors can become token holders and receive a share of the rental income. Currently, these TSL have completed over 7,000 trips, with each transaction recorded on the peaq testnet, and in the future, they will migrate to peaq's Kusama parachain krest.
Vehicle Autonomous Payment Demonstration
At the upcoming auto show, peaq will demonstrate how vehicles can interact with charging stations or parking spaces using Self-Sovereign Machine Identity ( and pay fees from their own decentralized wallets.
This demonstration is supported by the Gaia-X alliance, which is backed by the European Union, and its moveID project aims to create standards and digital infrastructure for the future mobility ecosystem. peaq supports the project as the underlying blockchain, while the Fetch network, based on Cosmos SDK, handles the transactional and identity layers.
Fetch.ai and Autonomous Economic Agent Architecture
Fetch.ai is a decentralized intelligent economy, achieving autonomous management of network nodes through the autonomous economic agent architecture )AEA(. AEA consists of four core components:
The open economic framework of Fetch.ai ( OEF ) serves as a search and discovery mechanism, enabling data owners and demanders to match efficiently.
In this demonstration, Fetch.ai provided an autonomous AI agent framework that enables proxy communication between the peaq network and the Fetch ecosystem through multi-chain IDs, promoting intelligent interactions between devices and offering users a high-quality charging and parking experience based on SSI.
