U.S. Treasury Secretary says the third round of U.S.-China consultations will be held next week.

According to a report by Jinse Finance and Yahoo Finance, U.S. Treasury Secretary Besant announced during an interview with Fox News on the 22nd local time that the third round of China-U.S. trade negotiations will take place next Monday and Tuesday in Stockholm, Sweden. Previously, the two sides held two talks in Geneva and London. The report states that August 12 is the deadline for the suspension of tariff increases by China and the U.S., and the latest round of negotiations aims to delay this final deadline. According to CNBC, Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson later confirmed on the evening of the 22nd that Sweden will host the latest round of talks between Washington and Beijing. He stated on social media platform X, "This negotiation mainly involves China-U.S. relations, but also has significant implications for global trade and the economy." (Global Times)
