NTT Digital "scramberry WALLET" service ending - Call for asset migration | CoinDesk JAPAN

On July 30, NTT Digital, which promotes Web3 within the NTT Group, announced that it will discontinue the provision of its digital wallet "scramberry WALLET" app as of September 30, 2025, at 3:00 PM.

As a result, users need to transfer their assets, such as cryptocurrencies and NFTs, to other wallets by the end of the service termination date.

According to the company, after the service ends, access to the app and support will no longer be available. If assets are not transferred by the deadline, the assets remaining in the app will become unusable, and the company will not provide any compensation for them.

Two types of asset transfer methods have been presented.

One option is to "export (transfer)" the current wallet address to another wallet app. This method does not require gas fees, and allows for the transfer of all assets, including SBT (Soulbound Token: non-transferable NFT), at once. Therefore, the company recommends this method unless there are specific preferences.

Another method is to select specific cryptocurrencies or NFTs and transfer them individually to other wallets, known as "Transfer." In this case, the gas fee will be borne by the user, and sending SBT is not possible.

The company also offered the software integration service "scramberry WALLET SUITE" that provides digital wallet functionality for businesses. With the termination of the consumer app, this corporate service will effectively lose its foundation, which is expected to have a significant impact on the businesses that had implemented it.
