Jin10 Data, July 22 – On July 21 local time, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres issued a statement warning once again that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is rapidly collapsing and the last lifelines are disintegrating. Guterres strongly condemned the ongoing violence and stated that civilians must be protected, respected, and should never be the target of attacks. Guterres indicated that the people of Gaza are severely lacking basic necessities. Israel has an obligation to allow and facilitate humanitarian assistance from the United Nations and other humanitarian agencies through all means possible. Guterres pointed out that as hostilities escalate, the humanitarian system is facing serious obstacles, destruction, and even threats. The new evacuation order involves parts of Deir al-Balah, and tens of thousands are once again plunged into despair and displaced, which severely hinders the ability of the United Nations to provide emergency assistance.
