Thailand's SEC plans to relax knowledge tests for retail investor encryption investments, potentially easing the burden on investors.

[Chain News] On July 21, news came that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of Thailand proposed to relax the knowledge testing requirements for retail investor cryptocurrency investors, allowing those who have passed the test to be exempt from retesting and changing the current requirement for quarterly retesting to an adaptability assessment every two years. The new regulations require ICO portals to conduct comprehensive adaptability testing for all digital Token investors to ensure that investment risks align with product risks. This proposal aims to ease the burden on investors and ICO portals while remaining consistent with existing securities regulatory standards. The SEC is now publicly seeking opinions, with a deadline of August 1.
